Article: “NTU Death Fall” – ‘HOME’ Section (Pg B6)

Question 1:
What were some indications which showed that the victim was facing problems before he committed the rash act?
A fan of the computer game World of Warcraft, Mr Widjaja suddenly threw himself into it with a vengeance, spending as much as six hours a day huddled in front of his PC.
Friends said this was unusual: He usually stopped playing when preparing for exams or when projects were due, and he had a looming deadline of March 10 to submit the draft for his Final-Year Project (FYP).
Then, two weeks ago, he abruptly cut off all communication with his friends.
Though this occurred around the time that Mr Widjaja, 21, was told that his Asean Scholarship had been revoked, his closest friend in Singapore dismissed talk that this was a reason for his strange behaviour.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, the Indonesian student said Mr Widjaja retreated into his shell because he was having problems coping with his FYP. (Final Year Project)
